Ho'oponopono ia a very powerful, life-transforming meditation that originated in Hawaii and has a long history of healing the individual and reuniting families. Over the years the traditional form has gradually faded and only a few kapuna lapa'au continue to practice, however in 1976 Morrnah Simeona began the transformation of Ho'oponopono into what it is today. The original form of Ho'oponopono required a mediator, usually a qualified practitioner or Kahuna Lapa'au , to be present to guide the healing process which was most often a family or group of people interacting with one another under the guidance of the mediator to facilitate the healing process. Morrnah is responsible for updating Ho'oponopono so that it no longer requires the presence of a Kahuna, thereby allowing an individual to perform their own healing.
It seemed Ho'oponopono was destined to stay in on the Island of Hawaii Until Joe Vitale a well known author caught wind of it and interviewed Dr Hew Len and wrote his book Zero Limits , In Zero Limits , Dr. Vitale explains the four simple phrases at the heart of ho'oponopono . I Love You, I'm Sorry, Please forgive me, Thank You.
